I'm from Oklahoma and a part of Tornado Alley. The weather is SO unpredictable here and changes by the hour. I take into account the watches and warnings, but I keep on. Just on Wednesday, we had a random thunderstorm that was so strong that it literally SNAPPED my umbrella, trees split, and our road was flash flooding. It lasted all of 20 mins, lol. So anyway...😂

I live in Alabama and we have Tornado seasons here. It’s definitely something we watch carefully!

I am a full blown adult woman who is terrified of lightning. I won’t go out in it. I jump and sometimes yelp when I see it flash. I take my weather app seriously lol. It’s so embarrassing but that’s my brain 🤷‍♀️

As a kid if I heard even the slightest chance of a tornado I was in the basement. The basement was wild and even had some water in it but we’d pile in with the door open and flash lights and have so much fun 😂

I watched a weatherman once who explained that a tornado WATCH is like having all the ingredients for tacos, but they are not put together. Each ingredient represents an element that would contribute to a tornado. A WARNING is when they all come together and make that taco, lol. It was so funny, but it also made it easier to understand. I always think of it now when it's tornado season. In our area, we always stay "weather aware" during tornado season so you know the timelines for anything coming.

At our baby shower instead of bringing a card we asked that people buy a book and put a little note inside. My daughter is 6 and she’s reading them on her own now. Also nice because some of these people have passed away since. ❤
